Firmware Version 6.3.11

This release contains the following features and improvements

  • Dante AV-H support added
  • BirdDog Connect is now built directly into the camera — no separate device required
  • NDI 6.3 support — NDI library updated to version 6.3.1
  • NDI Discovery support — added NDI Sender Advertiser functionality for network discovery
  • SuperFine Zoom mode — zoom speed range expanded from 8 levels (0–7) to a 15-level table for finer control. Standard mode covers the full range in steps of 2; SuperFine mode provides single-step precision
  • Zoom Speed now supports the full range from slowest to fastest in both Standard and SuperFine modes
  • Added zoom_speed_ext NDI command and CAM_Zoom(Extend) VISCA command for extended zoom speed control
  • Stop command now supported for both Standard and SuperFine Zoom modes via NDI and VISCA
  • AI Tracking smoothness improved — reduced motion jitter while tracking subjects
  • AI Tracking Character Position fix — Character Position centering now works correctly for all Figure Size Mode values
  • Updated NDI and VISCA color temperature commands to align with camera definitions
  • Added VISCA Tally command support (on/off)
  • Tally behaviour corrected and NDI SDK tally implementation updated

This release includes the following fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where zoom would not stop in SuperFine mode after upgrading the keyboard firmware
  • Fixed iris always closing when using a keyboard controller to change the iris value
  • Fixed camera image settings not saving or randomly reverting when recalling presets
  • Fixed directional control knob latency inconsistency in the CamControl tab
  • Fixed an issue where switching to HX3 codec would automatically switch white balance to manual mode and set saturation to 200%

Known Limitations:

  • When Teleconvert is ON, bitrate setting is limited to "Custom"

  • Added RUDP support for NDI® streaming, enabling improved network transport flexibility
  • Improved NDI streaming performance and overall stability across workflows
  • Optimized image signal processing (ISP) for enhanced noise performance and better image quality
  • Improved overall system stability by resolving an API memory leak

Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where frequent switching between web pages could cause the interface to freeze
  • Fixed an issue in Network → Ethernet Network where clicking Apply did not correctly apply parameter changes
  • Fixed an issue where Studio Monitor and KBD control did not align with WebUI pan/tilt speeds
  • Added support for NDI super fine control commands from KBD on X4
  • Resolved an issue where only TCP output was available for NDI streaming
  • Fixed NDI Network Settings → Transmit Preferred Method not correctly applying protocol changes
  • Resolved an issue where Discovery Server settings failed to connect
  • Fixed incorrect SDI Output Format options displaying unsupported 6G and 12G modes
  • Fixed UI inconsistencies when toggling Menu ON/OFF
  • Corrected incorrect API responses for
    • /about 
    • /birddogwbsetup
  • Fixed an issue where required network ports were not properly blocked
  • Resolved an issue where using an NDI analysis tool while streaming could cause disconnections

Known Issues

  • Cameras added to the Remote IP Address List may not appear in NDI Finder
  • API endpoint may return incorrect data on X4E
    • /version 
  • Some API endpoints may not fully align with documentation, including:
    • /secondary_protocol
    • /Genlock_Failover_Source
