Timecode Handling on BirdDig Connect Connections

When you set up a connection in BirdDog Connect you have 3 options for what timecodes to use for the encoding of the stream.

  1. NDI Timestamp - The NDI SDK stamps the frame when sending from the source.
  2. NDI Timecode - Source vendor actively codes this into the frame.
  3. Generated - TX Endpoint use its clock and use that as timecode.

The preferred method is NDI Timecode (if present they are most likely what the vendor intended to be the timecode), but this is not mandatory so may be missing. If you get problems when using NDI Timecode, try NDI Timestamps. These should always be present. Should that option fail use Generated.
