BirdDog PLAY Firmware Update Instructions

What you will need

1 x BirdDog PLAY firmware update .fw file

1 x BirdDog PLAY unit

Procedure

System Firmware Update
This update is a single-step process performed from the BirdUI.


1. Download the firmware file from the BirdDog website and unzip.

2. Log into the converter BirdUI by entering the device IP address into your web browser. The default password is ‘birddog’.

3. Navigate to the SYSTEM tab on the left hand side.

4. Under the System Update section Click the CHOOSE FILE button, navigate to the downloaded firmware folder, select the contained file and click the UPLOAD button.



NOTE: This process will take up to 5 minutes and will require the converter to reboot. DO NOT power off the unit while this process completes.

5. After the process reports as complete, allow 2 minutes for the converter to reboot and then refresh your browser.

6. Confirm the update by viewing the Dashboard/System Details/Firmware Version in the BirdUI. Check that the version number is correct for this release.


The update process is now complete.
