PLAY Setup Tips

Common Setup Questions

There are some issues that are commonly encountered by end users when attempting to set up their BirdDog PLAY. The following points address these common concerns.

Setup Tips & Solutions

  1. Play Replacement Program
    If you have a Gen 1 PLAY (our older model without fan or vent holes), it may be helpful to consider participating in our PLAY Replacement Program. This program offers the option to have Gen 1 PLAYs replaced with our newer, Gen 2 model at no cost to the end user. To replace a GEN1 unit with a GEN2 please open a new ticket with our Support Team (see "Need More Help?" at the bottom of this article).

  2. Gen 2: Technical Bulletin
    If you have a Gen 2 PLAY (our newer model with fan and vent holes), please refer to the following article for a few possible solutions: Technical Bulletin for Gen 2 PLAY

  3. IPv6
