This article details the recommended video configuration profiles and settings for using a supported BirdDog X series camera with Iris. All bitrates are expressed in Mbps (Megabits per second).
Iris defines three standard video profiles. The bitrates below represent the maximum allowed for each profile.

| High | 1080p | 4.5 Mbps | 30 | Maximum allowed configuration before a system alert is issued. |
| Medium | 1080p | 3.5 Mbps | 30 | Default profile. |
| Low | 720p | 2.5 Mbps | 30 | Activated when the camera exceeds allowed resource usage and the user is notified. |
Note: The Medium (3.5 Mbps) profile is used by default. The camera is limited to the High (4.5 Mbps) profile as the maximum configuration.
The BirdDog recommended setup focuses on maximizing performance and minimizing latency. These key settings can be configured in the AV Setup section of the cameras BirdUI:
